Homework Club

We provide extra homework help and one on one support for children ages 6-12. With the help of staff and community volunteers, we engage and encourage them to succeed academically.

TGIF Drop-Ins

Frontlines is the place to be on Fridays. Participants are free to come in, kick back and relax while listening to music, playing games or just catching up with friends.

So You Think You Can Cook

Once a week, children ages 6-12 are taught basic cooking and nutrition skills. The young chefs learn how to slice and dice, bake and stew delicious dishes from all over the globe.

The Journey

This afterschool program helps children develop their thinking and leadership skills through storytelling, creative writing, and testimonials.

March and New Year Camps

During school breaks, Frontlines offers camps that specialize in many activities, including science, dance and basketball camps.

Summer Camp

We want to be able to give them back the summer they weren’t able to have last year. Our in-person Covid guideline camp lets kids enjoy sports and other activities. Meals are offered in the morning and afternoon. Priced at 20$ a week.

In The Line of Fire

Educate youth about violence, through discussions and developmental workshops. With topics ranging from bullying to self-esteem, the program teaches youth about the impact of violence in the community and important life lessons.

Roots and STEM

Explore the world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics through Black History. In this program funded by Canadian Heritage, youth develop their STEM skills through experiments, trips, guest speakers, homework assistance and much more.

Leaders In Training (LIT)

Our weekly workshops and opportunities help our youth to become leaders in the community. Participants receive volunteer hours and free certifications, such as CPR and food handling.

What’s On My Plate

This mental health awareness program shows the true impact of culinary skills. Every week, students learn about different mental illnesses and how to make a recipe from scratch. The workshop always starts with an interactive activity, then has a live cooking section, and ends with a question-answer period. Includes free meal kit.

Faces of Frontlines

Tap into your artistic side and learn how to be a strong leader. This 6-week art and leadership program allows students to gain knowledge on techniques to flourish within their environments. The program also equips students with new art skills. During the final class, each group unveils a mural created by them during the program.

Culinary Skills Training

This free 8-week program for youth ages involves hands-on experience in the kitchen, baking, cooking, menu planning, and budgeting. Upon completion students receive Safe Food Handlers and Smart Serve certificates

Job Search Support

Frontlines provides participants (16+) with a wide variety of employment supports on a case by case. We work alongside our community partners to do so through referrals.

F.E.E.T (Future Employment and Entrepreneurship Track

4 weeks paid training program where youth learn about various careers, resume writing, interview, and skills needed to meet the new job market which leads into 8 weeks paid work as an employer.
